RUSSIA: GOVT WILL INTERVENE IN GRAIN MARKET.
According to Interfax, the government has decided to initiate commodity involvement on the grain market. Accordingly, the government will launch sales of 1.6 million tons of grain, primarily wheat and rye, after February 10, Deputy president Gordeyev told a cabinet meeting attended by President Vladimir Putin. "The grain interventions are expected to bring grain prices down by approximately 10%," he announced.
