Russian tycoon calls for business organizations to unite
[Presenter] Russian businessmen are making an attempt to unite. Today Vladimir Potanin, head of the Interros company and a member of the board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, sent a letter to Arkadiy Volskiy, head of the Union. The letter suggests that businessmen at various levels, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and two public organizations, namely Delovaya Rossiya [Business Russia] and Opora Rossii [Russia's Support], should unite. Volskiy supports the idea and believes that the Russian businessmen should stand up for their interests together. [Volskiy] We are now at a stage where political stability in the country has been achieved, and this should be stated frankly. Sooner or later, stability in the economy must be achieved, too. We must not remain divided. Many people think of small business only in terms of shuttle traders. This is not the way to live. We need to introduce small business into industry and manufacturing; this is the main task.
