Thomas Cook sells 12 aircraft to Center Capital (Thomas Cook verkauft Flugzeuge)
German-based company Thomas Cook, Europe's second largest travel group, has sold 12 aircraft of the Boeing 757-200 type to Center Capital, the Russian investment company, for an undisclosed price. Market insiders claim that the 12 aircraft have a book value of 110m euros, but that Center Capital paid less than the book value. The sale of the aircraft will result in job losses at Thomas Cook, whose fleet will be reduced by around a third as part of the transaction. Original article by ip Abstracted from Borsen Zeitung
