Alrosa boosts IAS profits 23.4% in financial year MOSCOW. Jan 16 (Interfax) - Alrosa, Russia's Yakutia-based diamond monopoly, boosted IAS unaudited consolidated
net profits 23.4% in the year ended June 30, 2003.
The profits were 3.965 billion rubles in the 12 months to the end of June 2003, compared with 3.212 billion rubles
the previous financial year, the company's financial report said.
Sales revenue fell slightly, from 28.88 billion rubles to 28.188 billion rubles, and the cost of sold products edged
down from 11.677 billion rubles to 11.532 billion rubles.
Gross profits fell from 17.203 billion rubles to 16.656 billion rubles, core profits fell from 6.629 billion rubles
to 6.588 billion rubles and profits before tax fell from 6.283 billion rubles to 4.909 billion rubles, however profits
