Ministry says energy companies violating anti-monopoly law
MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - The Russian Anti-Monopoly Ministry's commission on Thursday said that the Federal Energy Commission, Mezhregiongaz company and Gazprom have violated anti-monopoly laws, the ministry's press service told Interfax. "The Federal Energy Commission, Mezhregiongas and Gazprom violated Article 8 of the Law on Competition and on the Limitation of Monopoly Operations on Commodity Markets through coordinated action," the press service said. It said "the parties in the case will be informed of this decision within five days." Gazprom told Interfax that it will appeal the decision, noting that some of the charges have already been lifted.
