Husarova heads Tasmanian tennis lineup
HOBART, Nov 28 AAP - Janette Husarova, the world 33rd ranked Slovakian, heads the entries for the Tasmanian international tennis tournament starting in Hobart on January 5. The tournament, now called the Moorilla International after the Hobart winery became the main sponsor, is the last lead-up event for middle-ranked players before the Australian Open. Seven top-50 players have accepted, including Vera Zvonareva. The rising Russian 18-year-old could continue the tournament's reputation of boosting young careers - most notably that of Kim Clijsters, who won it in 2000. Zvonareva's ranking has gone from 370 to 45 since February, helped by reaching the fourth round of the French Open, where she took a set from eventual winner Serena Williams. Australians competing are Alicia Molik and Christina Wheeler. AAP dw/vm
