22 December 2003 12:17 Russia asks Moldova to share aid with breakaway region Moscow, 22 December: Russia has recommended to Moldova that it take the Dniester region into account when sharing out
Russian humanitarian aid.
At a government meeting with the president in the Kremlin today, Deputy Prime Minister and Agriculture Minister
Aleksey Gordeyev said that Russia had completed promised humanitarian deliveries of 10,000 t of wheat to Moldova.
"We recommended taking the Dniester region into account in proportion to the population living in this
republic," Gordeyev added.
