Russia`s Gazprom expects net profit up 71% on last year`s
MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The Russian natural gas monopoly Gazprom and its subsidiaries are expected to end this year with a total net profit of 208.3 billion rubles, or 71% up on profits in 2002, the company said on Thursday. On Thursday, Gazprom's executive board made a preliminary assessment of the implementation of its economic and social plans and cost-cutting program for 2003 and its balance of payments for the year, the company said in a release.
