15 December 2003 09:04 Presidential officials check housing and utilities sector in Russian Far East Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy, 15 December: Starting on 15 December, the Russian President's Main Monitoring
Directorate has launched an inspection of how the Kamchatka Region administration executes the legislation on heating
and energy supply to the local housing and utilities sector, the administration's press office has told the RIA
news agency.
The inspection's main tasks are to check how local heating plants are provided with material and technical
resources; how fuel supply and stocking up are organized and financed; how the existing plans for preparing local
facilities for the winter season are being fulfilled and how state aid for supporting the local housing and utilities
sector is being spent, the press office said
The inspection is expected to last till 28 December.
The press office said that the inspection was a planned one. The Main Monitoring Directorate's inspectors are
expected to conduct similar inspections in Karelia, Altay Territory and Kirov Region, the press office added.
