Gefco creates joint venture with Chinese group DTW (Gefco va constituer un reseau en Chine)
Gefco of France has signed a letter of intent with DTW, the Chinese courier company, to create an equally held joint venture by April 2004. Gefco-DTW Logistics Co Ltd aims to create a logistics network for the car industry. The venture will start activity in the Hubei region. DTW was created in 1992 and specialises in the express delivery of parcels under 20 kg. It employs 4,000 people. Gefco, a subsidiary of French carmaker PSA, is also setting up in Russia, where it has just opened a subsidiary. Original article by Michel de Grandi Abstracted from Les Echos
