Wingas to found joint venture with Norsk Hydro (Wingas zielt auf den britischen Gasmarkt)
Wingas, the German gas transport and distribution company, is planning to set up a joint venture with Norsk Hydro, the Norwegian conglomerate, which will sell natural gas in the UK. The joint venture, which will trade under the name of Hydro Wingas Limited, will be based in Twickenham and will start operating in the spring of 2004. The new joint venture will mainly target commercial and industrial customers and regional energy providers. Wingas is a joint venture between Wintershall, the energy subsidiary of German chemicals giant BASF, and Gazprom, the Russian gas group. Abstracted from Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung
