Small business should play key role in privatization - Prime Minister
MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Small and medium business should play a key role in the privatization of government property that the state does not need, Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov said at a government meeting Thursday. "We must sell government property that the state does not need in an open and transparent way and ensure access to this property to small and medium scale companies," he said. Russia has not developed clear criteria, in accordance with which it can determine whether the government needs a company or not, the prime minister said. "One of the most important tasks in managing state property is to complete the formation of such principles and to complete the formation of a general state property register."
