GBP1million boost for Eurasia
EURASIA Mining will announce tomorrow that it has raised GBP1 million for exploration and development work in the Kola Peninsula in northern Russia. The platinum mining group, listed on the Alternative Investment Market, has placed 14.6 million shares at 7p with new and existing institutional and private investors. Eurasia has signed agreements to acquire exploration interests and drilling work is expected to start early next year. The aim will be to assess the extent of the platimun reserves in the region. Managing director Christian Schaffalitzky said: 'We are pleased that we have additional funds for our Kola project, but also that the calibre of the new investors is so high.'
