27 October 2003 05:58 Cadbury staff cut, closure plans will not affect Russia MOSCOW. Oct 27 (Interfax) - Cadbury Schweppes Plc., plans to cut 5,500 jobs and close several factories, will not
affect Russia, the company's Russian subsidiary Dirol-Cadbury, told Interfax.
Cadbury owns two plants in Russia, one produces chocolate and the other chewing gum. Both plants are in Veliky
Novogorod and employ about 1,200 people.
Cadbury Schweppes has a total of 55,000 employees in 133 factories and offices. The company announced Monday that it
planned to cut jobs due to increased spending over the past three years when it spent 4.9 billion pounds sterling on new
