YUKOS makes statement on CEO arrest
The arrest of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the head of YUKOS, will not have a significant impact on the company's operating activities, an official statement of the Russian oil giant says. According to the YukosSibneft management regulations approved earlier, Yury Beilin will head the oil producing division while Mikhail Brudno and Petr Zolotarev will supervise oil refining and sales division. The YUKOS statement also stresses that the company's partners in Russian regions do not have to worry about fuel supplies by YUKOS. The latter will fulfill its obligations to investors and creditors. YUKOS also called all accusation against Khodorkovsky "absurd".
