Finance Minister hopes for transparent and just trial for YUKOS boss
Russian Finance Minister and deputy PM Aleksei Kudrin told reporters on Monday he hoped for the court system to provide transparent and objective hearings of the case of Mikhail Khodorkovsky, the CEO of the YUKOS Oil Company. The minister also noted that the merger between the YUKOS and the Exxon-Mobil was the companies’ own business. At the same time, Kudrin holds that the companies must get an approval from the Russian Anti-Monopoly Ministry. The official told the press that the Exxon Company had already submitted to the Russian government the information about its interest in the YUKOS.
