Russia, Kyrgyzstan agree on Moscow`s accesion to WTO
Russia and Kyrgyzstan have signed a protocol on concluding bilateral negotiations on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organisation (WTO).

The document was signed in Bishkek in the presence of the two countries' presidents - Vladimir Putin and Askar Akayev - by Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Sukhoparov and Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry of Kyrgyzstan Sadritdin Dzhiyenbekov.

This is the first protocol pertaining to Russia's accession to the WTO, Dmitry Sukhoparov reported.

"During the bilateral negotiations, we co-ordinated all issues with the Kyrgyz side and signed this protocol," the deputy minister emphasised.

He specified that this protocol was in the form of a letter. Kyrgyzstan will send it to the Geneva-based WTO Secretariat, signalling the conclusion of the Russia-Kyrgyzstan negotiations on Moscow's accession to this organisation.
