September unemployment holds steady in Russia
MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - The number of unemployed people in Russia held steady in September after six months of
decline and totaled 5,520,000 in early October, the Russian State Statistics Committee reported on Tuesday.
Since the start of the year, when 6,294,000 were unemployed, the number of jobless has fallen by 774,000. Since early
March, when unemployment reached its peak, the number has shrunk by 1,055,000.
