06 October 2003 01:57 Gazprom, Gaz de France chiefs discuss cooperation MOSCOW. Oct 6 (Interfax) - Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller and Gaz de France President Pierre Gadonneix discussed
cooperation between their companies to develop European gas infrastructure and supply Russian gas to France, at a Monday
meeting.
Gazprom said in a press release that the discussion dealt with gas transportation routes, such as the North TransGas
Pipeline, the development of the liquefied natural gas market and also the implementation of joint energy conservation
projects.
Discussion of bilateral cooperation will be continued at a meeting of the Gazprom and Gaz de France coordination
committee, which will take place in Paris on October 10-11.
The coordination committee was set up in June 2003 in line with a memorandum on the development of cooperation
between the two companies.
Gazprom and Gaz de France started cooperating in 1976. Since then Gazprom has supplied the French company with over
225 billion cubic meters of natural gas. Gas supplies are carried out based on several long-term contracts. Gazprom
