MOSCOW. Aug 13 (Interfax) - In the opinion of 78% of Russians a financial crisis comparable to the one that occurred in August 1998 is possible in the future, while 17% hold the opposite opinion. These figures came from a poll taken by ROMIR Monitoring on August 7-11 among 1,500 adults. The study was timed to the August 17, 1998 financial crisis and its aftermath. Asked whether the crisis had hit them and their families badly 40% said it had very badly, 37% not badly, 17% almost not at all and 5% not at all. [RU EUROPE EEU EMRG POL] ml aw <>
