Russia demands punishment for attackers of fans in Skopje
Russia has demanded that the Macedonian authorities immediately identify and punish the ethnic Albanians who physically assaulted four Russian fans after a soccer match between Moscow's CSKA club and the Macedonian Vardar team Wednesday evening. An official note will be sent to the Macedonian Foreign Ministry on Thursday, Oleg Shumilin, the Russian consul in Macedonia, has told NTV. Russian foreign ministry officials are requesting that Macedonia keep Russia posted on further developments in the investigation.
