29 July 2003 11:18 Orling expects proceeds growth in 2003. Orling (Usti nad Orlici, Czech Republic), food supplements company, expects its proceeds to grow by 2% year-on-year
to CEK 95 M in 2003. In 2002 the company saw proceeds of CEK 93 M, up 15% from 2001. Nearly 5% of its 2002 proceeds were
generated by exports, which went above all to Russia, Italy, Slovakia and the Ukraine. Orling also exports osteoporosis
prevention products worth CEK 3 M/y to Canada. In 2002 the company made a net profit of CEK 0.7 M. Orling has a 20%
share in the world production of arthronutraceutics, which bring relief to people suffering from osteoarthrosis and
other diseases of the locomotory organs. The firm has a 72% share on the Czech market. It processes 150 tonnes/y of
collagen hydrolyzate. Its best selling product is Geladrink. In 2002 Orling invested CEK 5.5 M in production
modernization and product development.
