Poland to allocate 100m dollars to Russia in housing construction loans
Moscow, 28 July: Poland plans to allocate about 100m dollars to Russia in housing construction loans. These funds will be channelled according to the mortgage lending system, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Yakovlev told journalists on Monday [28 July] after talks with Polish Undersecretary of State for Infrastructure Marek Bryx. According to the deputy prime minister, these funds will be allocated under guarantees of the Polish government. At the meeting, the sides agreed that Polish construction companies would build housing in Russian regions that will be sold later to Russian citizens according to the mortgage system. "The Russian government will render any assistance to foreign companies who wish to be involved in housing construction in Russia," Yakovlev emphasized. According to him, mortgage lending is one of the main methods of resolving the housing problem in Russia.
