The Irkutsk Aviation Production Association (IAPO) plans to change its name to the Irkut Research and Production
Association, the company's president, Alexei Fedorov, told the press. A decision on renaming the company will be
made at an extraordinary shareholders meeting at the end of the year. Shareholders will also discuss amendments to the
company charter. Irkut will become the successor to IAPO and remain a legal entity in Irkutsk. IAPO will post sales of
$500 million in 2002, Fedorov said. Sales earnings totaled 6.74 billion rubles in 2001.
